Having visited L'Edgar recently for a stay, I found the hotel to be a decent choice for those seeking a balance between cost and luxury. The friendly staff and the cozy atmosphere with live jazz music on the spacious terrace set a welcoming tone. While the hotel offers good value for money, it falls short of a luxurious experience, more in line with my Australian pragmatic sensibilities. However, ongoing renovation work detracted from the overall experience, affecting the ambiance. The comfortable bed and the promise of an improved bathroom post-renovation were positives. The proximity to the Chateau added to its appeal, although it seemed to be a crucial factor in the hotel's viability. In conclusion, L'Edgar offers a fair balance of value and service, making it a suitable choice for travelers in search of practicality mixed with a touch of charm.
